Operatives of   State intelligence Bureau (SIB) had rescued kidnapped
victim after spending nine days with empty stomach in the hands of his assailants.

The victim, Mathew isichei Chukwuebuka
with age 19 was quoted to have said his assailants kept him for nine days with
empty stomach.



Narrating how he was rescued in a statement, the Lagos state police public relation Dsp Elkana said the state
intelligent Bureau (SIB) followed up a petition referred to the command through
force headquarters in Abuja to Oyo state specifically in Ibadan.

“Operatives acted on credible
intelligence with the support of Technical intelligence unit (TIU) and were
able to arrest two suspects at Ibadan with name Thoa Akorede and one Alhaji
Muhibudeen Akorede”.

The spokesman quoted the victim (Mathew
isichei Chukwuebuka) as saying that he stayed in the custody of the kidnappers
for nine days with being fed.

Continuing, Elkana said the victim  stated that
he was called through his phone and that he doesn’t know how he got to Ibadan
and that on arrival, he was given something from a black pot to eat where he
lost his senses and was ordered to surrender his phone to them.

“The phone was program to reject
any incoming calls except the only line that they were demanding the ransom
through”.
Elkana said they collected all the
money in his possession and were demanding for more

He was taken to an Automated Teller
Machine (ATM) point where they withdraw the sum of ten thousand (N10, 000.00)
from his account.
The spokesman said the assailants
demanded the sum of thirty million be paid into the victim’s bank account as
ransom.

He said the victim has since been
reunited with his family adding that the suspects were charged to court and
remanded in prison custody
