The Lagos state
commissioner of police, zubairu Muazu has visited Ajah specifically at ilaje
communities for on spot assessment to identify issues that led to killing that
took place on Wednesday penultimate week
Punch Metro had earlier
reported before  now that there was  fracas that broke out, leading to the killing
of one person and many others injured as it disclosed that the fight took place
at Badore, a location within Ajah in lekki at Eti Osa Local Government Area of Lagos.


A statement from the Lagos
state Police public relation officer Bala Elkana said; the Cp had an indebt
discussion with leaders of the two warring factions.
The spokesman said CP zubairu
was taken around the settlements mostly prone to crisis and agreed on a buffer
zone adding that a detachment of mobile policemen was immediately drafted to the
communities for peace and confident building

 He said the commissioner of police is calling
on the people to eschew violence and avoid rumour mongering
“I urge all
inhabitants of these communities to be vigilant and report suspicious movements
to the police”

We will unleash full
weight of the law on any person or group of persons bent on breaching the peace
of these communities
Elkana said leaders of
the two warring communities applauded the steps taken by the commissioner of
police in resorting lasting peace to the communities and promise to support the
peacebuilding initiatives as they both call on their followers to allow peace
to reign in those identified warring communities
