As the ember months strolls in, the Lagos state commissioner of police, CP Hakeem Odumosu has cautioned drivers, road users in Lagos, urging them to obey traffic rules and drive with decorum.
The police chief made this call after visiting a scene of multiple road accidents that occurred on Friday 18th of September, 2020, specifically at Anthony, along Gbagada involving a towing van, one pale loader carrying a crane, one tanker truck loaded with diesel with another truck carrying container.
A statement coming from the Lagos state police public Relation officer, sp Olumuyiwa Adejobi stated that the four trucks got burnt in the process and had caused heavy obstruction to traffic along four routes.
Adejobi said it was confirmed that one person got burnt beyond recognition in the incident.
He said the Commissioner of police sympathized with those involved in the incident while he personally supervises the evacuation and clearing of the obstruction carried out by police personnel and staff of the Lagos state emergency management Agency.
“The commissioner of police, Lagos state CP Hakeem Odumosu emphasized on his readiness to work with other traffic management agencies in Lagos state to curb reckless driving and reduce road crashes to their barest minimum, particularly as ember months are around”.
