The Assistant inspector general of police in charge of zone two command, AIG Ahmed illyasu whose jurisdictional coordination covers Lagos and Ogun state has assured inhabitants of ensuring adequate security during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

A statement from the Zonal Police Public Relation officer, Dsp Hauwa Idris and that which was sighted by urban Express-News Correspondent said  AIG  Ahmed illyasu has charged the two commissioners of police in the states to be proactive in the discharge of their duties of protection of lives and properties of inhabitants living in those coordinated states.

We have deployed men of Anti kidnapping team, Rapid response squad zonal intelligence bureau, quick intervention unit,  explosives ordinance disposer, special Anti Robbery squad counter-terrorism unit,  police mobile force and special protection unit including highway operatives and all patrol and guard officers to beef up security around worship centres, market places, business and rural areas to ensure adequate protection of life and properties.

 Meanwhile, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Ahmed illyasu had on behalf of men of the command wishes all Muslims a happy and hitches free id-el-Kabir celebration, while reiterating his commitment to duties and ensuring a Nigeria police of our dreams.

Dsp Hauwa said members of the public are hereby advised to observe all precautionary measures by National centre Disease Control (NCDC) through observing physical distancing, wearing of facemask and regular hand-wash to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic while celebrating the yuletide without any fear of molestation as adequate measures are in place to hamper any ugly occurrence.
