The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu had
on Monday yesterday decorated the newly Elevated police officers as he says the decision
remains a strategic management approach Directed at motivating the workforce in
addressing current and emerging internal security threats in the country.
The force Public Relation officer, Dcp Frank Mba in a statement said the Decoration ceremony comes on the heels of the recent
Elevation of 6,601 personnel of the Nigeria police force and that which include;
1 DIG, 4 AIG’s, 3CP’s, 8Csp’s, 607 SP’s, 206 DSP’s, and 5, 769 ASPs’.
Mba said the event was conducted in the presence of Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, adding that the SGF congratulated
the newly Elevated officers as he charged them to see their promotion as a call
for improved service to the nation as he assured them of the federal government’s
commitment to the on-going reforms of the Nigeria police force coming from the inspector general of police.
Continuing, Mba said the Inspector General of Police,
Adamu Mohammed noted that since his
assumption of office in January 2019, a total of forty-one thousand, eight
hundred and sixty-three (41,863) officers and men of the Force across different
ranks have been promoted to their next ranks.

approach directed at motivating the workforce in addressing current and emerging
internal security threats, and that which have been guided by the principles of
seniority, merit and reflective of records of discipline and invaluable
He said while congratulating the officers for
their well-deserved elevation, Adamu charged them to deploy their intellect and
demonstrate sound professional judgments in all their decisions at all times.

AIG Amba, A.A Asuquo, AIG Nkereuwem, AIG Olafimihan Adeoye, Aishatu Abubakar,
CP Jonathan Tawuru, CP Sylvester A Alabi, CP Sikiru Adande, DCP Johnson Oluwole
