Operatives of Lagos state police command’s anticrime monitoring within ejigbo inhabitant in Lagos suburb specifically around canoe area has intercepted loads of fuel in a fiat bus with two contrasting colour painted in Lagos commercial signage at the front whilst the rest is painted in blue
Narrating how it was intercepted, the Lagos state police public relation officer, Dsp Bala Elkana told urban express news online that the operation led by Sgt Sunday Joseph suspected a certain fiat bus but on sighting policemen, three of the occupants inside the bus jumped down and fled in a different direction
He said this was how the policemen pursue them and as luck ran against one of them, he was eventually caught.
Continuing, Elkana gave the name of the suspect as Wasiu Oyewole with residence at 3 oluwaseyi street Agodo Egbe while the remaining two jumped into the carnal and escaped.
“The suspect confessed that he and his cohorts loaded the fiat bus with registration number LND 825 BC with multiple sacks laden with PMS”
“He claimed further that Nigeria National Petrol Corporation’s pipeline was burst in Owutu area of Agric in ikorodu where the products were loaded while their intended sales point is at Ijegun”
The statement put further that effort is being made to track down other accomplices who jumped off the vehicle on sighting the police
He said the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation officials have been contacted to decant the product
