Adamawa state police said it has deployed troops in every flashpoint as part of its efforts restoring law and order in some part of Toungo and other communities where Cameroon rebels were sighted
It was gathered that the troubled spot equally prompted the Adamawa commissioner state of police, Olugbenga Adeyanju’s visit to Toungo, Bosban, and other adjoining communities in Adamawa.
A statement made available to urban Express-News Online through the Adamawa state Police Public Relation officer Dsp Suleiman Yahaya Said the commissioner of police has directed the Divisional Police officers, operations commanders to ensure full enforcement of the rule of law in those troubled communities.
“We expect officers to equally ensure optimal deployment of both human and mental assets of the intervention squad currently on the ground in Toungo local government in other to safeguard lives and properties of the people”.
The PPRO said intervention squad is expected to carry out a collective and holistic task of ensuring peace and safety in the troubled communities.
He said CP Olugbenga Adeyanju during his visits to the communities, thanked the people for embracing community policing, and assures them that the command will do everything within its powers to ensure peace is maintained in all mentioned communities.
“The command enjoins the entire people of Toungo, other troubled communities to cooperate with the police and other security agencies as they carry out their enforcement responsibilities guided within the rule of law directed at ensuring safety adding that trouble makers in the state should relocate or desist forthwith from an act of violence and lawlessness, the statement read!
