Lagos Government said it has commenced with the removal of structures encumbering the right of way in lekki region where it is about to commence road project.
A statement made available to urban Express News-online through the Director of media Affairs, Mr. Mukaila Sanusi at the ministry of physical planning and urban Development quoted the commissioner, Dr Salako as saying the removal of encumbrances from right of way of the proposed lekki road was imperative to pave way for smooth execution of the project.
The statement put further; “the commissioner of physical planning and urban Development, Dr. Salako had taken his time, going through the due process of stakeholders’ engagement and service of statutory notices on affected structures.
He urged owners and occupier of identified structures to cooperate by moving out of the approved right of way of the regional road adding that the commencement of the process of establishing the right of way of the road was strong indication of government’s determination to execute the project in earnest, which should put a stop to any insinuation of extension of deadlines
Salako reiterated that the lekki regional road was a major road being embarked upon by the Lagos state government to facilitate the transportation and socio-economic development of the state in line with the THEME Agenda of the Lagos state government, the statement read!
