The Police service commissions (PSC) have gotten a new permanent secretary with the name William Alo.
Mr Alo until his appointment, was the permanent secretary at the ministry of power.
A statement signed by its Head, press and public relation, ikechukwu Ani said the new permanent secretary, Mr William Alo resumes duty with a pledge to move the commission forward and ensure that the Nigeria police force is reinvigorated especially in the area of appointment, promotion and discipline for more effective and efficient service to the Nigerian people.
He said Mr Alo took over from Abubakar Ismaila who has since been redeployed to the ministry of sports and youths development.
He the new permanent secretary told the management staff of the commission that all must be committed to doing something different to make the police truly our friend and also give Nigerians a sense of security especially in these troubled times.
Ani quoted the new permanent secretary as saying that he will ensure that staff and management of the commission work as a team and also see the welfare of the staff for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
“The challenge now is how do we move this place forward as it is a small place but big as we must ensure a cordial working relationship with the chairman and members of the commission as well as inculcate the spirit of integrity and zero corruption in service to our fatherland.”
Ani said the out-going permanent secretary, ismala called on the staff and management to extend their support and cooperation given to him to his successor described him as a highly experienced public officer, the statement reads
