Operatives of Niger state Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) after acting on information Arrested one Abubakar Adamu (35) with the resident in kuspa area in suleja inside a red Honda Civic car with Registration AY 280 KTN.

Urban express news online learnt when operatives of state Anti-robbery squad searched the car, 375 rounds of Ak-47 live ammunitions and 7 Ak-47 magazines were recovered.

In a statement, the Niger state police public relation Dsp Wasiu stated that during interrogation, the suspect confessed to being a member of armed robbery and kidnapping syndicate who specializes in transporting arms and ammunition of the syndicate.

Command also arrest six unknown gunmen who invaded kuchi village and kidnapped a female victim to an unknown destination.

On receipt of information, police operatives attached to sarkin pawa division swung into action and arrested two of the suspects with name Aliyu Bangaje (30) Yusuf maikoma (28) with a resident at Mararaba Dandaudu and injita village in munya village.

The PPRO said during interrogation, suspects confessed to be members of a six-man gang and that the victim was handed over to them to be taken to Babur kabula forest in munya local government area.

He said victim was rescued unhurt.

Arm recovered include two locally made short gun, knife and cutlass adding that case under investigation, while efforts to arrest other members of the gang is ongoing.
