Felix igbasan, a sergeant attached to
the inspector general of police intelligence response team was laid to rest in
his country home amidst pain and anguish.
Igbasan, a brave and gallant police sergeant
as described by colleagues’ sustained bullet wound during gun duel with some
notorious armed robbers in the time they went and robbed a senior immigration officer’s
residence in Abuja metropolis.
This was what led him sustaining bullet wounds
on his left leg and was admitted in Maitama general hospital in Abuja. An
injury he could no longer bear as death came calling which lead him given up
and family members came out in pain and anguish as he was laid to rest. His wife
could not hold back tears, watching with pain, as he was being put in final interment.
Police gun salute was observed as mark of honour for the late police sergeant.
Late Igbasan hailed from Okitipupa
in Ondo state, he left behind surviving aged parents, wife and children.
