Operatives
of the Lagos state police command have arrested a 32-year-old man identified as
Abayomi Adegbite in a bus-stop known as Adoh in Ajah with a dangerous weapon specifically Gun and cutlass.

A
statement from the Lagos state police public relation officer Dsp Bala Elkana
said; langbassa received a distress call that some miscreants were attacking
by-standers at kekere  bus-stop.


Elkana
said that was how team of policemen led by the Divisional police in langbassa mobilized
to the scene.

On
sighting the police, the hoodlums opened fire but were overpowered by the
police team.

The spokesman said one Abayomi Adegbite (23) who led the gangs was arrested with
one short gun, six thousand naira cash and one digital camera they snatched
from a victim,

He
said the suspect had confessed to the commission of the crime and has given
some useful information  concerning the
operations of his gangs adding that investigation are on as operatives are on
the trail of the fleeing members of the gangs.

Meanwhile
operatives also arrest an ex-convict notorious for terrorizing Bariga inhabitants.

The statement put further that Bariga police division receive complaints from one
olayemi Agbamuche that he was robbed of his red Bajaj motorcycle at Abeokuta Street
by Odion within Bariga metropolis by some hoodlums armed with axes and sword.

He
said that was how detectives from Bariga police Division swung into action and
arrested one of the suspects identify as folarin Moses (23).

Elkana
said the suspect had confessed to the commission of the crime adding that the suspect also stated which of the confraternity he belong known as Aiye.

He
said the suspect was just released from prison recently after serving a jail term
for a similar offence.
“Efforts
is being made to arrest his other accomplices and to recover the stolen motorcycle, adding that investigation is on-going”.
