Operatives of the Anambra state police command said it has arrested two suspected syndicates terrorising the Nkpor obosi axis of the state.
A statement coming from the state police public relation officer, CSP Haruna Mohammed said following a distress call that armed robbers were operating along the Nkpor obosi axis, police operatives attached to the command special Anti-cult unit in conjunction with the scorpion vigilante group quickly responded and move to the scene.
On sighting them, the police engaged the hoodlum in a fierce gun battle, and as a result, two suspects sustained gunshot injuries on their hands and leg leading to their arrest.
Those arrested include chiboy Ezike (25) and chiemere Ajuluchukwu (23)
He said suspects equally confessed to being members of a secret cult group called supreme Vikings confraternity.
Exhibits recovered from them include two locally made pistols and ten live cartridges.
The PPRO said suspects were taken to the hospital for treatment after which they will be charged to court for prosecution
