As the restriction order declared by the federal government continues, the
Lagos state police said it had foiled a robbery attempt at ikorodu after acting on
a statement, the Lagos State Police Public Relation officer, Dsp Bala Elkana
said operatives of ikorodu police Division supported by state Anti Robbery
squad (SARS) operatives deployed by the
commissioner of police arrested one Toheeb
Sanusi (21) and 24-year-old Adewale Adeshina with resident located at around Benson the area in ikorodu.
said one locally-made pistol and one cutlass were recovered from them adding
that the suspects have confessed to the commission of the crime saying they were
in the area to rob unsuspecting members
of the public.
said investigation is ongoing, the suspect will soon be charged to court as units
commanders have got clear instructions
from the commissioner of police to deal decisively with armed hoodlums
daring the collective will of the restriction order to rob in any party of the
state during the lockdown.
Commands also arrest a 28-year-old man for
raping an eight-year-old girl.
The statement put further that a location specifically at Agnufoye in ikorodu police station got a complaint from name (withheld) that he returned home and meet his
eight-year-old daughter name (withheld) in pains, complaining of discomfort and
said the father left the girl with her two brothers whose age ranges between 10
and 12 as their parent is separated and living apart.
inquiry, she told her father that on 31-03-2020 one Adetayo Razaq (28) of Alladi Ijelu Street, Agunfoye, ikorodu
gave her biscuit and took her to his room where he had carnal knowledge of her.
