“I have four children for him, but he has refused to do anything for me. He knows that my daughter is sick, yet he keeps building houses; he has about 12 houses in Lagos. I am his first wife and we have been together for about 27 years. We have a company together, but he did not do anything for me”.”All my family members have been calling me for money. My mother has been calling me for money, but I have no money to give her. What am I to do? So, I just hid in a place to collect money from him.”
This was a confessional statement made to the Lagos police command after a wife stages own kidnap, allegedly demanding a whopping amount of fifteen million naira cash from her husband

Narrating what transpired to journalists after the outcome of its tentative investigation report, the Lagos state commissioner of police imohimi Edgal said the command had successfully picked one Hadijat Kabiru 45 years-old woman for allegedly faking her own kidnap in other to defraud her 55 years old husband, muraino Kabiru.
Also picked were two suspects accomplices Ahmed and Hadijat Rufai.
The Telling developments, according to the police public relation officer, CSP chike Oti happened on August 2,2018, involving wife Hadijat, and 18 Years old daughter, Hamidat, was reported to have been  kidnapped on their way to a psychiatric hospital in Oshodi area within Lagos metropolis

 The report put further the alleged kidnappers had demanded N15m for the release of the victims before Muraino reported the matter to police.
 The statement said the Anti-Kidnapping Squad rescued the victims and arrested the suspects.
Oti said Hadijat latter confessed that she planned the kidnap to defraud her husband.
“On Thursday, August 8, 2018, around 3.30pm, one Alhaji Muraino Kabiru of Governor’s Road, Ikotun, reported at the Ikotun Police Station that his wife, Hadijat Kabiru, and his daughter, Hamidat, 18, who is of unsound mind, were kidnapped on their way to a psychiatric hospital in Oshodi, Lagos.
“He said the kidnappers demanded N15m for the hostages. Based on this, operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad were directed to rescue the hostages and arrest the suspects.
“Investigation revealed that the kidnappers were making their demands from the Ado-Odo Ota area of Ogun State. The operatives of the squad mobilized and the hostages were rescued”
 “Ahmed Kudus, 29, and Hadijat Rufai, 39, was arrested, while the rest of the suspects fled the scene. One of the hostages, Hadijat, confessed that she planned her kidnap with the suspects to defraud her husband.”
 Continuing, Oti explained that Hadijat noted that a native doctor, Wasiu Rufai, and two others, Luqmon Ahmed, and one Jossy, were part of the gang.
The victim-turned suspect also claimed that her husband refused to take care of their sick daughter, adding that he was only interested in acquiring property.
Hadijat said, “Whenever I asked him for money, he usually shout at me. I told him to give me N500, 000, but he did not give me and that was why I decided to hide. I did not ask for N15m.
Hadijat, however, denied knowing the arrested accomplices.
Parading other suspected gangs that were allegedly making effort to assassinate one Gladys Osaigbove Omon, a 60 year-old female, the commissioner of police imohimi Edgal admonished residence of Lagos to be wary of those that pretends wanting  to be of assistance empowering their children and thereafter, are making economic use of their children.

The duo, Gladys and Augusta Osaigbovo are siblings with the eldest being Gladys

Their disagreements accordingly started when Gladys Osaigbovo-omon begged her younger sister Augusta to help take her daughter mercy Omon overseas where she obliged and eventually took mercy to the United Kingdom
While in the United Kingdom, little did Gladys knows that her sister was a leader of a prostitution gang and where, unfortunately, her daughter had been recruited into doing such business, and unknown to her back there in London where after noticing, the whole developments went awry.  
 Mercy’s refusal to continue cooperating with Augusta was what led her given her up to the police authorities in the United Kingdom, the statement read.
Continuing, imohimi said Somehow, Mercy Omon wriggled out of the trouble and convinced the UK police that her travail was caused by Augusta who brought her to London with job promises unknown to her that she had ulterior motives.  The police now turned against Augusta and jailed her as a result.
        “When Augusta Osaigbovo finished her jail term, she complained to her sister Gladys, that her daughter, Mercy, whom she brought from the village to help, has ruined her. Feeling that her sister was supporting her daughter she decided to procure assassins to eliminate her in revenge’’.
The commissioner of police said this was how the Divisional police officer Csp Taiwo Kasumu in charge of igando got a whiff of plans to kill Gladys and decided to plant agent provocateurs namely Igbinedion Ogbevon and Success Ehiosun both males to play along with the hired assassins.
He said the gangs assembled and were paid the sum of five hundred Naira (N500, 000) by Augusta Osaigbovo as mobilization for the job.
Suspects include Osaro okonobom and lucky oboh
He said those suspects went to Benin city and identified their targets, Gladys Osaigbovo after which they request Augusta to give them the balance of four million adding that it was at that stage they were rounded-up by the operatives of the Lagos police command
