The Lagos state police command had rescued a teenager from her abductor after the command’s prompt response to an emergency alert.
In a statement made available to urban express news online through its public relation officer Csp chike Oti said; emergency report was lodged in one of its division at ikorodu by Mrs Amina Abidoye with residence at kazeem Abidoye, a location along jerry farm at odogunyan in ikorodu saying her teenage daughter Rokibat Raji has been kidnapped and that all effort put to use in finding her has proved abortive. Oti said the operatives of the command in collaboration with anti-kidnapping squad move swiftly in search of the said teenager with a view of unravelling the mystery behind the disappearance.

“Their efforts paid off as the missing child was traced to one Jumoke Adesida with age 35yr in a village in Ogun state called odo-kekere”
Oti said during interrogation, the said Jumoke Adesida had confessed to the crime.
Explaining her reason for taking such action, Jumoke said she needed a child to play with, as her husband has taken her only child away from her, she added.

 Parading other suspects, the Lagos state commissioner of police, Mr Imohimi Edgal explains that the command’s robust community policing tools paid off once again as it was adopted within seme border area that is adjoining Nigeria and Benin Republic where the reported case of suspected hemp smugglers was brought to the attention of the divisional police officer at seme police division.
“This was how operatives of the command mobilized a team of detectives and succeeded in arresting one ikenna john and Onyeka Nwankwo”.

Twenty bags of weeds suspected to be hemp was intercepted. Oti said an investigation is ongoing and that the matter would be charged to court soon.
