Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong, is battling with injury ahead of the team’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Troost-Ekong has missed his Saudi club, Al Kholood’s last two league games due to a muscle injury.

Al Kholood are yet to release a report on his health status.

Head coach, Eric Chelle, will be hopeful he recovers in time from the injury.

Already, Semi Ajayi, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Raphael Onyedika are already injured and doubtful for the qualifiers.

Nigeria will face Rwanda in Kigali on Friday, March 21, and host Zimbabwe four days later.
