Victor Osimhen will miss the first leg of Galatasaray’s UEFA Europa League playoff clash with Dutch club, AZ Alkmaar with injury.

Osimhen picked up his third booking of the competition in Galatasaray’s 2-1 defeat to Ajax last month.

The 26-year-old will however be available for the reverse fixture next week at the RAMS Park.

The Nigeria international has scored four goals in the competition this season.

Manager Okan Buruk is optimistic they can cope with his absence.

“We have important absences, there are suspended players, I have injured players. We did not come here with a very large squad, but I trust the 11 that will start. I trust our friends who will continue.

“Hopefully, we will try to gain a significant advantage for the second match,” he was quoted by the club’s official website.
