Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has urged his players to focus on their game against Rwanda when both sides clash in a 2026 World Cup qualifier on Friday evening.
The Malian tactician wants the Super Eagles players to beat Rwanda in front of their home supporters and claim all three points.
Speaking to the media in a pre-match press conference on Thursday, Chelle said: “They also have a new coach, they want to win, and we also want to win. We are ready.
“I just want to be with my players; I want my players to focus on this game—only this game for now. After that, we will see the other games.
“We need to win this game. They are training hard, and they want Nigerians to be proud of them.”
The match between Rwanda and Nigeria will take place at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali at 5:00 pm Nigerian time.
Meanwhile, Nigeria is yet to win a game in the World Cup qualifiers in Group C.
The three-time African champions have three points from four matches.
