Nigerian On Air personality and actress, Toke Makinwa, has said she is at a point in her life where her marital choices are limited.
The 40-year-old said if given the opportunity to be a second, third, fourth or even fifth wife, she would consider it.
She stated this in the latest episode of her podcast, Toke Moments, shared via her YouTube page.
“As independent women, do you think that we have glamorised this notion of being independent?” Makinwa asked her guest on the show, Banke Kuku.
“Yeah. It’s tough,” Kuku replied.
Makinwa added, “I won’t lie, Banke. Let me break it down. Forget the cameras.
“At this point in my life, if I have the opportunity to be the second, third, fourth or fifth wife, I will take it.”
The movie star stated that she needs a man that she can lean on sometimes.
She said, “Let me tell you what the biggest thing for me is, I am the boss everywhere and that could be tiring. You feel like you need someone to lean on. Someone that could decide what is for dinner. Must it be me?”
Toke Makinwa was previously married to businessman Maje Ayida. They got married in 2014, but their marriage ended in 2017.
In November 2024, there were reports that she had tied the knot with her rumoured longtime partner, Farouk Umar, but the actress debunked the reports.
She claimed that they were just “besties” and that the alleged wedding ceremony was her Thanksgiving event.
