Former Manchester United striker, Louis Saha, has urged his old club against signing 22-year-old striker Liam Delap for their manager Reuben Amorim.
According to the Frenchman, it would be extremely dangerous for Man United to put their faith in the young attacker.
Delap has a £30 million release clause this summer following the relegation of Ipswich Town.
The English footballer has been linked with Man United, Chelsea and Arsenal this summer.
Speaking to Mega Dice, Saha suggested that Man United don’t need Delap but an experienced striker to lead their attack next season.
Saha said via Utd District: “It would be extremely dangerous, risky even, for United to put all their faith in a youngster like Liam Delap
“Even if he is a quality player, for me, it’s a gamble that is not worth taking.”
Meanwhile, Man United currently sits in the 14th position on the Premier League table.
The Red Devils are in the UEFA Europa League semi-final stage. Amorim’s side will take on the Athletic Club on Thursday.
