Genk manager, Thorsten Fink has revealed the reason behind his decision to leave Tolu Arokodare out of his squad for Thursday night’s UEFA Europa Conference League tie with Lech Poznan.
Fink said he decided to avoid risks with the Nigerian international’s close leaving from the club.
Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly in talks with Genk for Arokodare.
The Nigerian international is open to moving to Molineux with Wolves ready to splash €20m on him.
Fink confirmed negotiations between Genk and Wolves for the player.
“Negotiations are underway.“A club is interested. It was too risky for both parties to play,” the gaffer told HLN.
Arokodare was top scorer in the Belgian Pro League last season 21 goals
