A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Segun Sowunmi, has said that the party is working to make itself unelectable come the 2027 general elections.Sowunmi made this statement on Friday during an interview on ‘Sunrise Daily’, a programme on Channels Television monitored by Urban Express News.Recall that the PDP has recently been shrouded in internal political wranglings, leading to two factions.One faction loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has Abdulrahman Mohammed as chairman, while the other has Umar Damagum as its chairman.Speaking on the programme, Sowunmi said, “It’s still a very big task to be able to get us ready for a significant chance for success in the next election.“We are mostly being underdone by the African Democratic Congress, ADC, even though when they started, we said Who are they? But I warned. I said the second heart attack of PDP is what Atiku Abubakar is capable of doing. No matter how angry you get, if you underate him, you will pay for it.“If you look at the ADC and the PDP, you will see that PDP is really working to make itself unelectable.”
