Former Arsenal star, Paul Merson, has snubbed midfielder Rodri and named defender Marc Guehi as the player to help Manchester City catch Arsenal in the Premier League title race.

Man City are now two points behind leaders Arsenal in the Premier League standings after they defeated Newcastle on Saturday at home.

However, Merson believes Guehi is the key for Pep Guardiola’s side in their Premier League title race against Arsenal because he will protect the back four of the Cityzens’ defence.

“With Marc Guehi back in the back four now for Manchester City, Rodri doesn’t have to protect Manchester City’s defence that much now again,” Merson told Sportskeeda.

“I have a feeling Guehi might just be the reason why Manchester City catch Arsenal in the Premier League title race.”https://urbanexpresslive.com/epl-its-of-concern-for-newcastle-alan-shearer-on-nick-woltermann

Guehi was signed by Manchester City from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace during the January transfer window.
