Popular Nollywood actor, Tobi Makinde, has spoken out over the rumoured rift with Funke Akindele.
Urban Express News reports that the news surfaced online after Funke, known as Tobi’s mother in the movie industry, failed to attend his wedding in December 2025.
However, speaking in an interview with the BBC, Tobi claimed that social media often creates narratives that are not based on facts.

He said in Pidgin, “I’m not aware of any fallout between Madam Funke and me. Nothing really happened. “As you grow and move from one level to another, some relationships may look like they are lost in transit”, he said.
Recall that the actor gained popularity after his appearance in Funke Akindele’s productions.
