Former Arsenal star, Ian Wright, has criticized Kai Havertz for his display during the Gunners’ Premier League 2-0 win over Manchester United on Wednesday.
Wright said the Germany international was ‘sloppy’ against Manchester United.
During the encounter, Havertz had strayed into an offside position before Gabriel Martinelli’s goal.
But Martinelli’s goal was rightly ruled out as the flag went up against Havertz.
Speaking on The Overlap’s YouTube watchalong, Wright said: “Why was he so sloppy there?
“He’s just like… look at him! You know what? Just there, he’s just got to run half a yard quicker, and then he is onside, Havertz.
“I hate it when forwards don’t get onside. Why don’t they just get back onside?
“We should be 1-0 up; I can’t believe it. I’m so tired of seeing strikers do that.”
