The Defense Headquarters, DHQ, has blamed what it described as ‘secondary explosions’ for the death of some villagers during airstrikes in Sokoto.

Urban Express News Online recalls that a few days back, the Sokoto State government said 10 villagers were killed and others injured after airstrikes in Silame Local Government Area of the state.

However, the Director of Defense Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, said the deaths and injuries were due to secondary explosions and not a direct result of the airstrikes.

Urban Express News Online Had Earlier reported the deaths of 10 villages in Sokoto. The developments led to the defense headquarters releasing a statement about it intention of investigating the said incident.

The findings of the Defense headquarters affirm that the development was a result of a secondary explosion resulting in the death of 10 Sokoto Inhabitants
