Rangers manager, Philippe Clement has explained why Cyriel Dessers lost his place in the starting line-up.
Dessers was Rangers’ first-choice striker at the start of the season.
The 30-year-old has however not started a game for the Light Blues since the end of November.
The forward is now behind youngster, Hamza Igamane and Danilo in the pecking order.
Clement said the emergence of Igamane has limited Dessers’ role in the team.
“I spoke with Cyriel (Dessers) about why he’s playing less than before, and that’s because of the growth of Hamza (Igamane),” he explained.
“We will see what happens.
“Cyriel is working hard. He’s a very good lad; he thinks collectively always.”
