Atalanta manager, Gian Piero Gasperini has praised Ademola Lookman for his solid defensive work in the club’s 0-0 draw with Arsenal.
La Dea were frustrated by the Gunners, who put up a solid display at the back.
Mateo Retegui had a penalty saved by David Raya early in the second half.
Atalanta proved their desire to win the game with an attacking display.
Gasperini however said the defensive work done by Lookman and the other attackers was admirable.
“Well yes, that is our spirit. That doesn’t mean we are not defending, as the defensive work done by Lookman, De Ketelaere and Retegui was admirable,” Gasperini said after the game.
“If we have our strikers working so hard to help the defence, then we can put a few more forwards on the field and improve our chances of scoring.”
