The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested a prominent Lagos socialite and businessman, Emeka Okonkwo Daniel, widely known as E-Money, over alleged currency abuse.
EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed the arrest to DAILY POST on Tuesday.
Our correspondent gathered that E-Money was arrested at his residence in the Omole area of Lagos on Monday night after an event where he was allegedly caught spraying US dollars.
Reports indicated that preliminary investigations were already ongoing, and the suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
When contacted by Urban Express News Online, the EFCC spokesperson simply said, “The report is true, he was arrested last night.”
