Former Arsenal star, Paul Merson, has hailed Nigeria’s Samuel Chukwueze after the winger scored a goal in Fulham’s Premier League 2-1 win against Brighton on Saturday.
Merson described Chukwueze’s goal as brilliant, likening it to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry’s trademark goal.
Chukwueze came off the bench to help Fulham defeat Bright and claim all three points at Craven Cottage.
The Nigerian latched onto a long pass from teammate, Joachim Andersen before calmly slotting the ball into the bottom corner.
Reacting, Merson said on Sky Sports, “What a finish it is. Thierry Henry-style, but on his left-hand side.
“It’s a great ball to him. Brilliant,” he added.
Chukwueze now has three goals and four assists in ten Premier League matches for Fulham since joining the club on loan from AC Milan last year.
