Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has said Marc Cucurella was sent off at full-time against Brentford for bad behaviour.
Cucurella opened the scoring as the Blues beat Thomas Frank’s men 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.
Nicolas Jackson doubled their lead before Bryan Mbeumo pulled one back.
Maresca will however be without Cucurella for their next game, as he will now serve a one-match suspension.
The Spanish full-back did not get booked until stoppage time, when he picked his first yellow card of the match for a foul on Fabio Carvalho.
Cucurella was then sent off after the full-time whistle as he was booked for the second time for shoving Bees forward Kevin Shade.
Maresca told reporters: “I didn’t see the second yellow card. The referee said the second yellow card was for bad attitude. There are things we can do better.”
