Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has explained his team’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.
The match, held at Stamford Bridge, saw Anthony Gordon score the only goal of the encounter.
Speaking at his post-match interview, Rosenior identified a lack of “mental sharpness” in the attacking phase as a key factor in the defeat.

“The first 15-20 minutes we had opportunities,” Rosenior said.
“However, the goal gave Newcastle energy, and we struggled to maintain mental freshness in the final third.”
Chelsea will now face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League Round of 16 return leg next week.
