Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher insisted Chelsea are not underdogs in the title race.
According to him, the Blues’ impressive campaign “is no underdog story.”
The Reds legend said this after watching the west London side’s 4-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Blues spent heavily over the last few transfer windows and finally seem to be reaping the fruits of their investments.
Carragher said on Sky Sports, “This is no underdog story, they’ve spent £1.2 billion.”
DAILY POST reports that the win over Tottenham took the west Londoners to second place in the league table.
Enzo Maresca’s side is on 31 points, 4 points behind league leaders, Liverpool and two more than Arsenal in third place.
Chelsea’s next game is in the UEFA Conference League where they will face FC Astana on Thursday.
