Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has told his team to keep up the intensity and fight in the Premier League title race.

Guardiola was speaking to BBC Match of the Day after they held off Newcastle to win 2-1 on Saturday night.

Nico O’Reilly scored twice for City, while Lewis Hall got the only goal for the Magpies.

The result sees City close the gap between themselves and league leaders Arsenal to two points.

“We saw today until the end of the season, this is how we need to play,” Guardiola said.https://urbanexpresslive.com/saudi-league-back-to-origin-ronaldo-reacts-to-ai-nassrs-win-against-al-hazan/

“All the guys were really good. Really pleased with the performance.

“Of course, in terms of points it’s important, but we have to improve to havea chance to compete until the end [of the season]. Now we deserve three more days off. Then another battle in Leeds.”
