Butt identified midfielder Declan Rice and defender William Saliba as pivotal figures for Mikel Arteta’s side.
His remarks came after Arsenal secured the win over Spurs, courtesy of two braces from Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres.
He emphasised Rice’s and Saliba’s leadership qualities, stating, “I am pretty sure Declan Rice is a big leader, I am pretty sure William Saliba is a leader, but they just need someone to rally them and say, ‘Lads, we can do this. We are a good team.’
“They proved that yesterday, and I get it, Tottenham were not at their best, but they won 4-1,” Butt submitted.
