At least three farmers were injured in an attack by suspected herders in the Tafawa-Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

According to a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Tuesday, the incident occurred on Monday evening at Pyekman village.

The victims, Esther Amos, 58, Naomi Sabo, 37, and Emmanuel Manasseh, 16 were attacked while working on their farm.

According to Makama, the farmers sustained varying degrees of injuries and were taken to the General Hospital in Tafawa-Balewa, where they are currently receiving treatment.

The Bauchi State Commissioner of Police has directed tactical teams, including Operation Restore Peace (ORP), the Anti-Kidnapping Unit (AKU), the Rapid Response Squad (RSS), and nearby police divisions, to reinforce security in the area and restore calm.
