The Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) officers kidnapped in Delta last Thursday night have regained freedom.
The officers, who were released Sunday night, were said to have been kept by some drug barons within the locality.
Spokesperson for the NDLEA Delta State Command, Mr John Kennedy, who confirmed the development in Asaba, said, “I want to confirm the release of our officers; they were released on Sunday night after much pressure from the Agency and other sister agencies.
“The senior officer was not abducted along with his orderly as it was reported, the senior officer was abducted and another officer was abducted in another location entirely,” Kennedy said.
He, however, did not speak further on whether any arrest has been made so far or ransom paid before securing the release of the officers.
