Actor Yemi Ayebo, professionally known as ‘Yemi My Lover’ has accused singer Olamide of not picking his calls after using his name on his music.
The Nollywood actor stated this in a video interview on social media.
When asked if he is being compensated by singers and content creators for using his name ‘Yemi My Lover’ in their content and music, he noted that he has never received payment from any of them.
He stated that Olamide refused to pick up his calls for six months despite reaching out to him through Fuji legend, Pasuma.
Yemi further revealed that using his name in content and music gave him more popularity.
“Olamide was the first to use my name in his song, and I was so happy. My name is blessed by God, that’s why both Davido, Olamide and others, including skit makers, are using it.
“Pasuma said Yemo did Olamide settle you for singing with your name? And I told him no, I have never even seen him before, not to talk of his settling me. We don’t have each other’s contact information. And immediately,y Pasuma picked up his phone and called him to report that I had come to report him.
“Olamide told Pasuma to give me the phone so he could speak with me. That was the first time we spoke, and he told me to collect his number from Pasuma and call him. Pasuma gave me his number and I called Olamide for more than six months, he didn’t pick my calls, I messaged him and he didn’t reply,” he said.
