Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has given reasons why he fought so hard to return to Galatasaray on a permanent transfer.

Galatasaray signed a transfer that went down in Turkish football history by securing the 75 million Euro transfer fee of Osimhen from Napoli.

Osimhen arrived in Istanbul on Wednesday night and met with the yellow-red fans at Ataturk Airport.

The 26-year-old’s signing ceremony will be held at Rams Park before the Lazio match on Saturday.

Speaking to GSTV, Osimhen said he fought so hard to return to Galatasaray after spending last season on loan with the Turkish Super Lig champions, due to the deep connection he has with the club, the city, and the people.

“I have a deep connection with this club, this city, these people. That’s why I fought so hard to return here,” Osimhen said.

“I continue to have that feeling, to continue playing with a purpose.

“I want to do what’s best for myself and the fans, and I’m thrilled to be here,” he said.
