The Tunisia Football Federation, TFF, has announced the appointment of Sami Trabelsi as new head coach of the Carthage Eagles.
Trabelsi previously coached the former African champions between 2011 and 2013.
The former defender takes the place of Faouzi Benzarti, who was sacked last October after less than five months in charge of the team.
Kais Yaakoubi served as interim coach following Benzarti’s dismissal.
Hamadi Daou has also been confirmed as one of the national team assistant coaches.
The TFF are also looking to add Mohamed Sahli to the coaching crew.
Tunisia will face Nigeria, Uganda and Tanzania in Group C at the AFCON 2025 finals.
