Military troops of Operation Fansan Yanma, OPFY, have neutralized a suspected arms supplier while attempting to escape after being intercepted with weapons meant for bandits.
This happened during a night operation in Nasarawa Burkullu, Zamfara State, where security forces acting on intelligence intercepted the suspect, who specialized in arms trafficking from Anka local government area of the State.
Urban Express News Online gathered that upon sighting the troops, the suspect attempted to escape but was quickly neutralized.
According to the military, preliminary investigations confirmed that he was transporting firearms and ammunition to bandits groups operating in the region who have been crying out that they went out of weapons as troops intensified their pursuit against them.
