Agbarho Community Vigilante in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State has arrested a naked thief simply identified as Godspower for stealing two mobile phones as well as meat from a pot of stew in the house of a man.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday at about 1 am.
The Vigilante promptly handed the suspect over to the Police for thorough investigation and possible prosecution.
It was learnt that the suspect, who is cooling off in a police cell, allegedly jumped into the compound of an old man, entered the apartment, stole two mobile phones successfully before entering the kitchen where he stole chicken from a pot of stew.
As he tried to eat the chicken, the pot cover fell from his hand, drawing the attention of the old who woke up and went straight into the kitchen.
In a bid to escape from the scene, the naked suspect pushed the old man, who fell to the ground and sustained injuries.
The old man then raised an alarm, which drew the attention of the vigilante, who quickly apprehended the suspect and gave him the beating of his life before handing him over to the Police.
