The Gombe State Police Command has arrested five teenagers accused of fatally assaulting a young man during an argument at a wedding ceremony.

The incident which took place in the vibrant Pantami neighborhood, has left the local community in shock.

Eyewitness account has it that what began as a verbal disagreement quickly escalated into a physical altercation, resulting in the victim’s tragic death.

The suspects, aged between 16 and 19, were promptly apprehended by the police after a tip-off from concerned residents.

Confirming the arrests, the State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahmud Abubakar, stated, “The suspects are in custody, and we have launched a comprehensive investigation. Justice will be served, and no perpetrator will go unpunished.”
