Chelsea star, Cole Palmer has made a shocking selection of his best penalty taker.
The Englishman picked Italy striker, Mario Balotelli over the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi or even Andrea Pirlo.
The England international made the selection when asked to pick a player he would choose to take a penalty if his life depended on it.
Palmer has been one of Chelsea’s most important players since joining them from Manchester City in 2023.
He has scored 31 goals and provided 19 assists in 53 games for the west London outfit across competitions.
In an interview with BBC Sport (via @BBCMOTD on X), Palmer chose Balotelli as his go-to penalty-taker.

Palmer: If I can’t say me…
Interviewer: You can say yourself.
Palmer: Yeah I would, but I’ll say one just for the content. The one that comes to my head is Balotelli. Have you seen his pens?
The interviewer was initially perplexed by his choice.
However, Palmer assured him saying: “I trust him, go on YouTube and search his penalties.”
