Former Chelsea manager José Mourinho has mentioned that he hopes Real Madrid will continue to have Álvaro Arbeloa as their manager.
Reports show that Arbeloa has signed a contract that goes beyond the end of the current 2025–26 season, which means it’s a permanent deal instead of a temporary one.
Even though the deal is permanent, his future with the club is not completely certain yet. We may revisit this depending on how things go.
Mourinho also said he hopes his former team will win the La Liga title this season, as Real Madrid currently leads Barcelona by 2 points in the league table.
However, the Portuguese said he wants his Benfica team to be the one that eliminates Real Madrid from the Champions League.
Speaking on Monday, before Benfica face La Liga giants in the Champions League playoffs on Tuesday, Mourinho told the press that he is one of the few coaches who left the Santiago Bernabeu without being fired.https://urbanexpresslive.com/i-will-finish-them-from-ucl-mourinho-states-what-he-wants-for-real-madrid/
“The day I left, the president told me: ‘You’ve done the difficult thing, now comes the easy part,’” said the former manager of Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Roma, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Sporting CP, as reported by Fabricio Romano on X.
“All the Champions Leagues that came after that brought me happiness. I put in all my effort for Real Madrid. That’s why people respect me.
“I will be a Madridista FOREVER. This connection will never end. I want to eliminate Real Madrid from the UEFA Champions League, but I still really hope they win La Liga, and I want Arbeloa to keep coaching them for a long time. Álvaro Arbeloa es un Real Madridista”.
