Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has warned that war will be declared in the country if the All Progressives Congress, APC-led Federal Government, does not stop using government institutions to persecute the opposition.

Mohammed issued the warning in Bauchi while receiving an award as Safety Ambassador from the Safety Institute of Nigeria.

He stated that politics has become something else in Nigeria.

The governor said he woke up to be told that he is being accused of terrorism.

He lamented that his commissioner had been kept in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The former FCT minister also stated that, even with immunity as a governor, his name was mentioned in a court motion.

“God is wonderful. I don’t have to say anything. I don’t even have to go to the public court, but certainly, politics has become something else in Nigeria.

“The APC-led Federal Government thinks it can use the courts and institutions of government, like the EFCC, to persecute and prosecute Nigerians who are not in their party. If they don’t stop, we’re going to declare war,” he said.
