Ned Nwoko Hints at How APC Will Defeat Incumbent Gov Oborevwori Come 2027

Delta State governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has said President Bola Tinubu will be in power until 2031. He stated this at the 49th birthday and 27th pastoral anniversary celebration of Archbishop Godday Iboyi of Promise Kingdom Ministry (Overflow), in Sapele, Delta State.

His Chief of Staff, Prince Johnson Erijo, who represented him at the event, projected that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration would conclude in 2031.

Speaking on behalf of the governor, Erijo noted: “It is the way the terminal bus stop of our President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is going to end in 2031, that is the same way that of your son, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is going to end in 2031.”

However, the senator representing Delta North senatorial district at the National Assembly, Ned Nwoko, responded, asserting that the All-Progressives Congress, APC, is poised to defeat the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2027 general elections in the state.

At an engagement with party leaders, stakeholders, and grassroots supporters in Kwale, Ndokwa/Ukwuani federal constituency, Delta State, Nwoko urged the governor not to entertain thoughts of joining APC. He emphasised that APC would not require Oborevwori to realise President Bola Tinubu’s reported ambition to secure Delta State in the next election.

“Oborevwori wants to come to APC, but tell him to stay where he is. He will be defeated. We don’t want him in APC,” Nwoko said bluntly.

“Delta will surely become an APC state come 2027; 25 years of corrupt governance by the PDP is enough. We must take over. APC is ready to deliver better governance, and we are gaining ground every day,” Nwoko declared.
