Ayegunle Thoughts Leaders led by Adeola Ajayi has come down hard on Alayegunle of Ayegunle Ekiti, Oba Johnson Folorunso Aderiye over his Unjustifiable Decision dissolving Ayegunle Progressive Union, describing it as fraudulent, unconstitutional and unwise coming from one who should understand the needs of the people and inclusively working with them.
A statement signed by its President, Chief Adeola Ajayi and that which was obtained by Urban Express News Online Put further that such act remains condemned as it is flagrant disrespect to the sensibility of Ayegunle people
The Town Described as one of the most Peaceful, was said to have have become very turbulence and worrisome under the leadership of oba Johnson Aderiye.
Chief Ajayi said the leaders are aware of the role of Chief Ilesanmi Oke played in what led to the disagreement between mr Mathew Segun and one Adenle, who accordingly was alleged to have acted as the Secretary of the Town union where many atrocities and Embezzlement allegedly took place while transacting with the government at the center, under the guys of wanting to renovate the Palace of Allayegunle

Ajayi stated that the Provocation of the People of Ayegunle Ekiti who have patient in spite of the atrocity’s activities of Oba Johnson Folorunso Aderiye has consistently cause disharmony among the People
His action is null and void and of no effect because he has no power to delve into the Ayegunle Progressive Union that is not tied to his council.
Ayegunle Progressive Union is not an appendage to him or his Oba in Council, hence he acted ultra vires and has gone beyond his boundaries It has also been noticed by what he placed on several platforms of Ayegunle people that he lied about dissolving the exco of APU in July 2023. It is funny and deceptive that he was making that public on the 25th of September 2024.
Oba Johnson Folorunso Aderiye was alleged to have attended a meeting with the Deputy Governor along with the President and Secretary of Ayegunle Progressive Union exco in February, 2024. Pastor Felix Olawale Aluko and Secretary Adeola Ogunleye where the recognized Ayegunle Progressive Union representative then.
The Ayegunle Progressive Union exco has been holding the various positions until now.
Any Interim Council that may be put in place is illegal and fraudulent. The exco of Ayegunle Progressive Union remains until the town’s people consider such as necessary.
The current President in person of Pastor Felix Olawale Aluko and the Secretary Adeola Ogunleye were invited to Ado Ekiti on the basis of their representing the APU.
We will not continue to fold our arms while the Oba continues with action calculated at bringing down the repute of the town
We call on government to call him to order, because his actions do not portend peace in the town, the statement reads.
