He achieved the milestone with his 2019 hit Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah), which recently surpassed 1 billion streams on the platform. Thank you for streaming.” Wizkid was the first African artist to join the Spotify 1 billion club in 2017 through his collaboration with Drake on One Dance, which holds the Guinness World Record as the first song to hit 1 billion streams on Spotify. However, Rema is the first African lead artist to have a song surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify, achieving the feat with the remix of his hit Calm Down featuring American superstar Selena Gomez.
